It’s with great pleasure and a grateful heart that I can introduce to you my book: ‘Where the dreamers go’. 

This limited edition is unlike anything you’ve seen before. It’s not just a book, it’s a piece of art with a lot of ‘special effects’ never implemented before.
The cover is made from termal ink, so when you touch it the real cover magically reveals itself. More so, the book comes in a luxurious leather case, which you can use as a laptop sleeve afterwards. This book is an extension of my art and an extension of me as an artist. 

I’m very honored to have worked with the greatest people in the industry on this project. The book is published by Uitgeverij Komma, who is also responsible for titles as RIJKS, Masters of the golden age and the Van Gogh sketchbooks, to name a few. The design is by Bob van Dijk. It’s such a pleasure to work with this incredibly talented team.

​Marcel van Luit uses his work to convey life lessons to his sons. His messages are mostly about hope, trust and love. This book comes from his desire to document his artworks for his children. Marcel would like to show that when you imagine, anything is possible. In his creative process he looks through the eyes of a child. With wonder and an unlimited amount of fantasy, he creates worlds he would like to escape to himself when life gets dark sometimes. In doing so he aims to touch people with the emotions and comfort that his work brings. Particularly now, in a time where there seems to be threats everywhere. In a time of fear for terror attacks, fear of the consequences of climate change, fear of speaking your mind at all, he wants to provide hope. Art gives meaning to your life. A lot of people are looking for their purpose in life. We need to be consoled in our griefs, guided towards wisdom, opened up to self-knowledge, calmed in our anxieties and given new hope when we feel lost. With this book he wants to provide people the opportunity to have his art at their homes and open the book when they need to go where the dreamers go.
